I was hired to design, write, and publish their website specifically because of the quality of my work at DB Squared, through a personal referral from the company’s COO.

The Corsa Finance website quickly began to rank for important search terms and produce leads. This site currently has 1st page of Google rankings for search terms like: factoring real estate commission, temp employment factoring, zulily factoring, real estate commission factoring, factoring for wineries, amazon factoring, temp staffing factoring – and many more!

Sales and Marketing Manager, Soundbuilt Homes
2011- 2013, and 2016 – present –

portfolio - soundbuilt homesI was initially hired by Soundbuilt Homes as their sales and marketing manager (2011 – 2013). During that time I re-wrote their web copy for SEO and earned the respect and trust of peers who I overheard remark: “We don’t know how she does it, but she puts stuff on the website, and the homes sell.

The position I held there re-opened twice after I left for other opportunities. The second time it re-emerged was right after my agency expanded. We successfully lobbied to serve as SBH’s outsourced marketing and sales management team.

Within the first month I had to rebuild the Soundbuilt Homes website in WordPress on an emergency basis due to shortcomings of their previous provider. We have continued to manage the website as well as providing overall sales and marketing management, including oversight of more than a dozen listing / site agents.

Initially I took the lead on this account while I trained one of my business partners in how to manage sales and marketing for this client. Once he was up to speed, I stepped away from day to day management but continued to work on the website, design logos for new home communities, and other tasks as needed.

Marketing Director, DB Squared, Inc., 2013-2017

When I was hired by DB Squared, Inc. in 2013 as their first ever marketing “person,” their website had never produced a single lead even though it was 5 years old.

I re-wrote the existing web content for SEO over my first two months there, and within 2 months the website began producing SQL that converted (my boss was thrilled!)

When I started in 2013, the company was spending over $5,000 on AdWords. You can see that it produced 10,000 site visitors; however, not one of these visits produced a qualified lead! By 2015, we reduced SEM spend to about $1,000 per month, mainly for remarketing purposes, and relied on organic search traffic for lead generation.

Each year I prepped a report for the board which demonstrated the success of our content marketing approach. The chart below, from year-ending 2015, clearly demonstrates the gains made in organic search traffic.

I served as marketing director from 2013 – 2017, during which time their main book of business increased nearly 60%. The company became attractive as an acquisition and was sold to a competitor in 2017.

We established The Marketing Desks in 2016, adding their business videography and photography as well as general marketing and sales skills to the offerings.
